Where to Stay
There are only a limited number of hotels and B&Bs in the area, and availability is even tighter due to a major event in Vicenza. We recommend booking your accommodation as soon as possible.
If you are having difficulties finding accommodations in Schio or Malo, contact Diego and Lauren! We might be able to reach local or unlisted B&Bs more easily.
Schio
Bride's lodging home base
It is a lively local town with restaurants, cafés, shops, and a charming historic center, while still feeling relaxed and easy to navigate.
Schio also has a strong local identity, shaped by its historic textile industry and its setting near the foothills of the Piccole Dolomiti. It is a nice base for guests who want a more local Veneto experience, with easy access to the surrounding hills and mountain scenery.
Schio is connected to Vicenza by local regional train (50 minutes), so you will be able to reach us all the way without needing to rent a car!
Recommendations
- Hotel MiramontiRight in front of the train station.
- B&B in the historic center There are limited B&B in the historic center, be sure to book them soon on AirBnB and Booking.com.
- Schio HotelJust outside the center, but still very close.
- More hotels outside the town center Hotel Dal Menga, Podere la Torre.
Malo
Celebration venue
Malo is Diego's hometown, and it's where the celebration will take place. It is a smaller town, so lodging options are more limited, but if you stay here you will be a walk away from the celebration venue, making your Saturday morning the easiest of all.
Malo has a quiet, local feel, surrounded by the countryside and gentle hills north of Vicenza. It is best suited for guests who want to be near the celebration itself and do not mind a more residential, small-town setting.
There is no train from Vicenza, so you will have to arrange a taxi.

- Limited Airbnb Try limiting the dates or widening the search area if you are looking on Airbnb.
- Other hotels Likely sold-out due to a major event in Vicenza: Le Andrianelle, Hotel Albergo al Sole, Locanda Ristorante da Umberto.
Thiene
Near Malo and Schio
Thiene is a practical and pleasant base between Malo and Schio. It has a small historic center, local restaurants, and good access to the nearby towns, making it another convenient location if you don't find accommodations in Schio.
The town is known for its elegant historic center and the Castello di Thiene, one of the area’s most distinctive landmarks.
Thiene is connected to Vicenza by local regional trains: 35 minutes, same train to reach Schio, just 1 stop earlier.

Vicenza
Major city
Vicenza is the best option for guests who prefer a larger city with more hotels, restaurants, shops, and transportation connections. It is farther from the venue than Schio, Malo, or Thiene, but it offers the widest range of services and is a good base for guests who want more flexibility before or after the wedding.
Vicenza is also one of the most beautiful historic cities in Veneto, famous for the architecture of Andrea Palladio, including the Basilica Palladiana, Teatro Olimpico, and nearby Palladian villas. The city has an elegant historic center, lively piazzas, and easy access to the surrounding Berici Hills.
If you decide to stay here, plan for a 45 minutes car ride to Malo (traffic can be surprisingly bad) on the morning of the wedding.
Unfortunately Vicenza is hosting a major event during the same week as the wedding. Most accommodations are already sold out or priced significantly higher than standard prices.
